Trading Model Overview
GX supports both negotiation-driven OTC transactions and the standardised spot-market trading.
OTC Trading
The OTC market allows high-volume or customised transactions to be documented, registered and supported through GX controls. OTC trading is suitable for large-volume, customised and direct buyer-seller transactions. GX’s role is to support documentation, contract registration, quality checks, delivery discipline, settlement visibility and dispute-reduction measures. OTC transactions remain subject to GX rules, participant eligibility, commodity verification and agreed contract terms.
Spot Trading
The GX spot-market pathway is designed for standardised commodity trades where approved products, grades, quantities and delivery terms can be listed, matched and settled through an orderly exchange framework. As the market develops, GX will continue to strengthen price discovery, participant onboarding, warehouse connectivity and settlement discipline.
